Using a variable-level vacuum system and a assortment of
treatmen tips, the DermaSweep Microdermabrasion unit wand
gently lifts the skin against the appropiate treatment tip,
removing the topmost layer of skin. After the
Microdermabrasion the skin is left smoother as the vacuum
action of the wand stimulates blood flow, cleans the pores
and moves the skin debris to a HEPA filter. This
Microdermabrasion treatment increases the blood flow
encouraging the collagen formation thus firming and toning
the epidermis as well.
What to Expect

Once you arrive to the spa our receptionist will guide you
to the waiting area where, with the soothing sound of water
cascades, you will wait for a Medical Aesthetician. The
Microdermabrasion treatment is safe and painless. You may
feel mild skin tightening after exfoliation with
Microdermabrasion but the skin will be quite smooth.
The Microdermabrasion treatment typically takes about 30
minutes and significant results will occur after 4 to 6
treatments spaced 10 days to two weeks apart.
Preparation

There really is no preparation for Microdermabrasion
although you should not be on Retin A or have undergone
Glycolic Acid or Lactic Acid peels, etc. 2 to 3 days
beforehand as this can irritate your skin and make it very
sensitive. However, some skin specialists may instruct you
to do so if they deem this process beneficial to your
skin.
After Treatment

Any redness or swelling, after your Microdermabrasion
treatment, should resolve within a few hours. Also, you
should prevent sun exposure. Once you finish the
Microdermabrasion treatment, your Medical Aesthetician will apply an layer of
Sunblock a Rehydrating toner and a Moisturizer solution to
the skin treated.
